Brief clip from some unused footage gathered by BBC for the 1968 Tolkien documentary. I saw this at a Tolkien Symposium in Oxford in 2014, where we were told that they (Oxford faculty?) would try to get the BBC to post or make available the entire set of unused footage and the interview transcript. I have no idea if that is in the works, but the bit we saw included statements about the peoples of Middle Earth, Tolkien's dislike of losing control of his faculties (either through too much drink or even taking gas at the dentist). and his thoughts about how gestures can convey more meaning than words. I think I have sen this unused footage online before, if so, I'd appreciate a link with better quality than what I have posted here.
